Home About the Play The Structures Company Where to see it

… arresting, stark and economic. Full of very engaging, educative drama, hugely entertaining and well performed. Ideal for a quick get-in and get-out for small theatres. But no less affecting and engaging for that.

Dear Jemma

Now that the ‘Structures’ residency here has ended I thought I would drop you a line to thank you for all your hard work. You made a wonderful contribution to the Museum’s celebrations on Marc Brunel’s birthday. The performance was both witty and moving, and we have received nothing but delighted thanks from those who came to see the show.

Maev Kennedy of The Guardian declared the play a great success, our sponsors Museum of London spoke very highly of the event and Sir William and Lady McAlpine left beaming.

The school shows were very well received. The children especially enjoyed the workshops and the question and answer sessions after the show. Isambard Kingdom Brunel is now a suggested topic for biographical study at Key Stage 2, but I believe very strongly that examination of historical figures benefit hugely from the kind of context provided by your play.

On behalf of the Trustees of the museum, the children and our guests, I thank you for making the Brunel birthday so memorable, and we wish you all success in your forthcoming tour.

En avant Structures! En avant!

Kind regards

Robert Hulse
